This new musical setting of the Song of Farewell will provide comfort to those who are mourning the loss of their loved one. The officially approved verbatim text from the Order of Christian Funerals is laid out in a very clear way, punctuated by the music for the rite, set simply for two-part choir on the verses with an assembly-friendly response. The music naturally follows the rhythms of the text and will come together with very little rehearsal time; its attractive, appealing melody will encourage assembly participation. The final antiphon, for use as the casket is led in procession from the church, can be extended by using the companion octavo "May the Angles Lead You Home," ed. 30151223 (also by Hart and LaRosa).
