Subtitled "A Prayer for Difficult Times," this octavo focuses on topical themes of comfort, faith, love of God for us, peace, petition/prayer, salvation, and trust. These topics are subtly conveyed by both the gentle, rocking quality of the newly composed hymn tune, TEMPESTAS, and the familiar cadence of the poetry (set in common meter). The intentionally simple two-part choral setting is accompanied by keyboard, guitar, and solo instrument, and will be easily learned by most choirs_x0014_ an especially welcome feature if this piece needs to be programmed unexpectedly.
