Advent Entrance Antiphons and Processional

Using the prescribed antiphons for the Sundays of Advent, this octavo ties each Entrance Antiphon to the pattern communities are familiar with, in which the chanted antiphon precedes an entrance hymn.  In this setting, a cantor intones the antiphon of the day as a call to worship; an instrumental introduction segues to an opening song, the refrain of which remains consistent from week to week, with verses specific to each week of the season. This simple, yet joy-filled arrangement—two-part choir, piano and guitar—will allow communities to encounter the antiphonal Scriptures more deeply, while still allowing for full assembly participation in song.
