Set for SATB choir with piano and guitar accompaniment, this stately assembly piece employs a refrain text by Lady Julian of Norwich and an adaptation of Psalm 121 for its three verses to communicate the topics of comfort, courage, faith, trust, and the love of God for us. Musically representing the placid feeling of well-being, the piece is entirely diatonic (no chromaticism at all) and is rhythmically very regular within its 4/4 meter.
