Ave Maria

Throughout the year, there are numerous times when singing the "Ave Maria" is appropriate. Composed for SSATTB choir, this lovely motet does not need large forces to fulfill its potential. Even two or three singers on the divided sections are enough to provide a well-balanced sound. Short motets like this provide a comforting, meditative moment in which people can pray and reflect without detracting from the liturgy or adding great length.
