"Behold the Cross" was written specifically for the veneration of the cross in the liturgy for Good Friday, but would also be appropriate for Passion Sunday (preparation, communion or post-communion). Though the recording of this song features soloists on the opening verses, the assembly could well sing the entire song, with the choir adding harmonic support as the song unfolds.
