This song was written from a desire to create a piece that captured the spirit of daily liturgical prayer beginning (Benedictus) and ending (Magnificat) the day with the same melody. The "Magnificat" is also very useful for adoration, parish meetings and gatherings, and to connect our hearts to the rhythm of the prayer of the Church. The "Magnificat" can be sung gently and prayerfully but it can also be done like the "Benedictus," more majestically and powerfully. A collaborative effort by Steve Angrisano and Curtis Stephan, this octavo includes a simple yet harmonically rich SAB choral arrangement written by Rick Modlin.
