Tim Smith uses Advent texts and Antiphons to create a song with an easy-to-sing refrain that will resonate with assemblies throughout Advent and Christmastide. The piece can be done in such a way that it gives the sense a new day is truly beginning by adding layering in the use of instrumentation. It is written for SATB choir with descant, keyboard, and guitar.
