Through Laudato Si', Pope Francis invites all people to take care of our Earth. Motivated by this task, Dan Schutte adapted Saint Francis of Assisi’s The Canticle of the Sun' to this captivating melody, reiterating Saint Francis’s conviction that nature itself is the mirror of God. Dan has written an arrangement for SAB choir and descant, giving the musicians plenty of options for how each verse is sung and played. Parts for flute and oboe are included.
