This is a broad, sweeping, Gospel-style assembly piece from the OCP collection, Psalms from the Soul. It is based on the text of the Nunc dimittis (Luke 2) and is scored for SATB choir, keyboard, and guitar. Its narrow melodic ambitus and homophonic choral writing, however, paired with limited use of blue notes and extended harmony, will make this accessible to choirs of all abilities.
