Hauntingly beautiful, this lilting and ethereal prayer of peace is modal (F Dorian) and utilizes the more delicate timbres achievable by SATB divisi choir (with soprano and alto soloists) and organ. Dealing with themes of global family, blessing, and, of course, peace, this anthem could be liturgically appropriate as post-Communion reflection, especially if that Sunday's scriptural readings or the Gospel touch on the topic of peace.
