Child of Sweetness

This Christmas text from the Orthodox liturgy has been masterfully set to music by John Karl Hirten. The music brings to life the the wonder and mystery of the Savior's birth through the eyes of Mary. Written for a cappella SATB choir and 2 soprano solos the choir part acts as an accompaniment to the soprano solos. This Eastern Orthodox sounding piece with 20th century harmonization is both simple and thought-provoking; a befitting addition for Christmas.
