Christ, My Hope, Has Risen

This setting of the Poetic Sequence for Easter beautifully pairs the gospel and blues style in a way that is accessible for most choirs. It is scored for SATB choir with a soaring descant, as well as a trumpet part which adds a level of fanfare appropriate to the Easter season. The syncopated rhythms in the melody add to the joyful exuberance that accompanies the Lord's resurrection.
