A haunting and unique carol for Epiphany. The composer's original text, celebrating the arrival of the Magi as well as the Baptism of Jesus and the Marriage at Cana, is carried by a lilting, occasionally chromatic melody. Hansen's gorgeous and sometimes adventurous harmonic language serves to transport the listener straight to Bethlehem. A memorable choice for the season!
