Eternal Spirit of the Living Christ

David Hurd's masterful, a cappella choral setting of a moving Frank von Christierson hymn text alternates chant-based sections with freely composed statements for SATB choir in each of its three stanzas. The chant sections are based on a cantus firmus plainsong, which is the composer's adaptation of the "Lord's Prayer" as previously adapted by Charles Winfred Douglas.
