Exsultet

This simple and powerful setting of the short form of the Exsultet is an alternative to the traditional chant setting in the Roman Missal. It includes an optional response that is easy for the assembly to repeat (and scored for SATB, which keeps it interesting). Hillebrand maintains the dramatic nature of the text throughout the piece, while underscoring it with a keyboard part simple enough for any parish pianist or organist.
