Farther Than the Farthest Sun

DeBruyn's concertato arrangement of Conrad Kocher's well known hymn tune, DIX, sets a new hymn text by Glen, which deals with the power of God, praises his might, and yet acknowledges his presence within our own being. The setting, for SATB choir, descant, keyboard, flute, and oboe, mirrors the contrasts of the text by juxtaposing simple, diatonic textures with more chromatic, florid ones.
