Father, Your Will Be Done

With well-placed poignant dissonances, the refrain melody captures the yearning nature of Jesus' statement in Matthew 26: "Father, if it is not possible for this cup to pass without my drinking it, your will be done." With support from SAB choir, piano and guitar accompaniment, and further enriched by parts for oboe and cello, this lush, four-verse assembly song is replete with Lenten imagery and is suitable for use throughout the season, esp. during the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
