This gathering song of praise for SATB choir and assembly in honor of the Trinity is especially appropriate for the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity and other Sundays in Eastertide. Though in a minor key, its triple meter, syllabic declamation, and circle-of-fifths progression with accented suspensions give the refrain a festive, forward drive. The verses, in a contrasting 4/4 meter are slower and almost chant-like, allowing the congregants to reflect on the message of the text.
