God with a Human Face

This assembly song for the season of Christmas, accompanied by keyboard and guitar and reinforced by SATB choir, places emphasis on the humanity of Jesus, based on the words of John 1:14: "The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." Its lilting, lullaby-like 6/8 meter and the uncomplicated C-major tonality (devoid of any chromaticism) underscore the humble, simple setting of the nativity.
