This new setting of a text from OCP's hymnary, Unite Our Hearts, uses a driving, contemporary accompaniment to illustrate the excitement and joy of the lyrics. This energy is present in the melody, too, with its expressive but singable leaps and metric shifts between duple and triple subdivisions that intuitively follow the word stresses of the text. Scored for piano, guitar, solo instrument in C, and three-part choir - and touching on topics of conversion, creation, gathering, and mission - this setting will surely invigorate the assembly's worship experience.
