Holy and Strong

Written for two-part children's voices, but also adaptable for unison singing, it is Whitaker's hope that this will foster a lifelong commitment of praising God and that adults, in turn, will be receptive to these words as sung by children. Its uplifting rhythm and joyous melody capture the essence of praise. With text based on the Trisagion, it features lyric themes of Christian life, creation, discipleship, justice, peace, power of God, and praise. Scored for two-part choir, piano, guitar, and assembly, this composition is a great building block for younger ensembles looking for something accessible with room for musical growth.
