This imaginative pairing of the traditional Irish melody THE MOREEN with the classic text by the Scotsman Horatius Bonar is a skillfully arranged, through-composed setting, featuring increasing choral complexity over its three verses: from unison Verse 1, through two-part Verse 2, to the full SATB choral treatment of Verse 3. The melody is in the foreground throughout, which will encourage assembly participation.
