This slow, heartfelt gospel hymn in three verses is scored for SATB chorus, keyboard, and guitar. Based on Romans 8 and dealing with topics of faith, hope, and God's love for us, it is appropriate as an entrance song (especially for funeral liturgies). Syncopations are idiomatic to the style and accommodate the natural stresses of the text. Blue notes and some extended chords add harmonic interest to a fairly straightforward background harmonic plan.
