This is one of the antiphons for the Mandatum, the ceremony that gives its name to Maundy Thursday, as Holy Thursday is called in countries of the British Commonwealth and elsewhere. The theme of discipleship is present throughout the refrain (which specifically refers to the washing of the feet) and three verses.
