In the Hands of God

With lyrics inspired by the Book of Wisdom and Revelation, and a simple assembly-friendly refrain harmonized by SAB choir, Ephrem Feeley beautifully conveys the healing message of God's everlasting love, even in the face of death. The piano accompaniment, replete with lush seventh and ninth chords, is complemented by the warmth of a solo cello; both of which further support the topics of comfort and reassurance in this piece. The verses will be satisfying for the cantor and/or choir, as they provide a more complex rhythmic and harmonic balance to the simplicity of the refrain.
