In the Peace of God

This arrangement of the traditional French carol NOËL NOUVELET adapts the beloved melody to Hart's original text based on Psalm 23. As such, it is well-suited for the Rite of Anointing (Care of the Sick) and Funeral liturgy, or any occasion that features themes of Christ the Good Shepherd and eternal life in Heaven. The sweet melody and gentle, easy harmonies align to comforting words about the peace that is found in trusting God's love for us; it will be easily learned by the assembly. This octavo is scored for SAB choir with keyboard, guitar, and solo instrument accompaniments. An optional interlude can be played between the second and third verses.
