Bentancourt’s verbatim setting of the intercessions that are used during the three Scrutinies features newly composed, approachable chanted intercessions sung by the cantor and a memorable choral response. Note that this octavo uses the Option B text from the two available options included in the OCIA/RICA rubric. The melody for all three Scrutinies is the same in English and Spanish allowing for both languages to be used in the same liturgy, if desired, and encouraging assembly participation from both communities.
