Inspired scripturally by Lamentations, this meditative assembly song reminds us to find time to listen to God in silence, there to find comfort in His love for us. Scored for SAB choir (on the refrain only), keyboard, guitar, and two solo instruments in C, the piece is modal (Aeolian): alternating between E minor and D major in the refrain and utilizing a repeating, subdominant-oriented harmonic scheme in the verses.
