Jesus in the Morning (Praise Him)

There are two versions of this song in the octavo. The first is a solo with a call-and-response musical dialogue in a Black gospel style between the soloist and the piano, in which improvisation is encouraged. The second is a full, a cappella choral version_x0014_ for SSAATTB choir_x0014_ whose jazzy harmonies are reminiscent of Duke Ellington, and which is designed to act as the finale for the larger collection, Stand by Me.
