The translation of this title is "I have seen the light," an utterance of Chief Moshesh, founder of the Lesotho Nation, who welcomed the first Christian missionaries in 1833. The straightforward harmonic language and speech-like syncopations will be easily learned by the unaccompanied SSATB choir. The texture is varied, contrasting homophonic sections with shorter imitative passages.
