This new SAB setting of the classic hymn tune, PICARDY, provides a very accessible and yet thoroughly interesting musical expression. The first verse features a sparse, mysterious accompaniment that emphasizes that verse’s theme of reverent fear of God. Covering themes of angels, the Eucharist, the kingdom of God, and praise, it is an excellent choice for many different seasons in the liturgical calendar.
