Libera Nos/Lord, You Are Merciful to All

Two short Lenten songs in one octavo! The first piece is a modally inflected Taizé-style ostinato refrain in D minor, which can be sung in English and/or Latin. Set for unaccompanied SATB choir with descant and a solo clarinet part, it would work well as a Lenten Communion processional, a refrain to the RCIA scrutinies, or for the Good Friday Veneration of the Cross. The second piece is the entrance antiphon for Ash Wednesday set in G minor for unaccompanied unison choir and descant.
