Like a Deer That Longs (Psalm 42/43)

Tender and gentle, this liturgically adaptable song can serve as a Communion processional (using the metered verses) or as a responsorial psalm (using the verbatim chanted verses). The refrain is scored for SATB chorus (verses are for cantor or unison choir) and the piece is accompanied by keyboard, guitar, and solo instrument in C or B-flat.
