Litany for the Earth

"Litany for the Earth" is written as a dialogue in which a Cantor voices invocations based on "A Prayer for Our Earth" from the papal encyclical Laudato Si'!, and the Assembly responds "Pour out your mercy, pour out your love!" and "Heal our common home!" This easy-to-learn litany would be appropriate at any liturgy celebrating the gift of creation and our responsibility to be good stewards of the earth. Simple SATB choir parts and a Solo Instrument will further enhance the gentle, haunting melody.
