Composed for a cappella SATB choir, this brief through-composed setting of the Latin text alternates traditional monophonic chant (for one or more cantors) with chanted choral responses set in a distinctly twentieth century idiom. Lush seventh chords and a disjunct melody within the choral sections make this suitable for more advanced choirs.
