Magnificat

Composed for a cappella SATB choir, this brief through-composed piece_x0014_ a setting of the Latin text_x0014_ alternates traditional monophonic chant (for one or more cantors) with chanted choral responses set in a distinctly twentieth century idiom. Lush seventh chords and a disjunct melody within the choral sections make this suitable for more advanced choirs.
