A driving harmonic trajectory, including chromatic walk up in the bass at the end of each verse, propels the piece forward. Frequent syncopations that follow speech rhythms punctuate the catchy refrain and bridge. The piece is scored for SATB choir and descant accompanied by piano and guitar.
