Like many medieval carols, this traditional German hymn (set here in German and English) has an interpolation of liturgical text, in this case, Greek (Kyrie eleison). The straightforward strophic setting in F minor is accessible to all levels of SATB choir and can be performed in either language, or both at the discretion of the director. There is no assembly edition.
