Based on Romans 8 and highlighting the reciprocal, loving relationship between us and God, this piece is ideal for marriage celebrations and Masses whose Scriptural themes deal with God's love. Mayernik's characteristic harmonic style (added-note harmonies, seventh and ninth chords, chromatic sequences) gives a contemporary spin on these traditional subjects, but the tuneful refrain, set for SATB choir, will be easily learned by the assembly.
