Crafted in the style of a Black spiritual, O Children, Watch Where You Walk reflects on Psalm 1, calling listeners to mindfulness in every aspect of life—where one walks, stands, and sits—and to embrace all that is good and life-giving. As the inaugural work in the Pro Mundo choral series, the piece embodies the series’ spiritual foundation and guiding motto: “Pro Mundo: For God so loved the world" (John 3:16).
