Imitative figuration in the middle section balances the lush modal harmonies of the mostly homophonic outer sections. It sounds more difficult than it actually is, making it an attractive option for most choirs. Lasting just under three minutes, this a cappella setting for SATB choir is especially appropriate as a post-Communion reflection or at any time during the feast of Corpus Christi.
