Of One That Is So Fair and Bright

This beautiful setting for SSA choir of a 15th-century macaronic text (English and Latin) is appropriate for the Fourth Sunday of Advent or, indeed, any Marian feast. The score includes a translation of the Latin text. Modal cadences, the mixed meter that accommodates the poetry, and the radiant Picardy third at the very end give the piece a flowing, timeless quality.
