This psalm is meant to be used after the Epistle that concludes the Easter Vigil's pre-Gospel readings, hence the Alleluia refrain, in effect, taking the place of the Gospel Acclamation; it is this refrain that serves as the Gospel Acclamation for Hurd and Canedo's Mass of the Compassionate Christ. Additionally, the verses of this psalm are paired with the psalm response for Easter Sunday, which is available as a separate octavo.
