Reception of the Oils/Recepción de los Óleos

With chanted verses presented in either English or Spanish and a simple metered refrain that can be sung in English, Spanish, or bilingually, this is a versatile, inclusive musical setting for the rite of the reception of the holy oils blessed at the Chrism Mass_x0014_ typically occurring on Holy Thursday. Accompanied by keyboard and guitar, verses are chanted by a cantor and the ensuing assembly responses are reinforced by the refrain's SATB choral parts.
