Swing rhythms and blues harmonies enliven Honoré's arrangement of this well-known Christmastime spiritual. Scored for cantor, SATB choir, keyboard, guitar, flute, and bass, the title features an assembly refrain and ten call-and-response verses, the first two of which are the original spiritual text and the remaining eight of which are additional verses penned by Honoré.
