This piece features a warm, singable refrain melody with eight chant-like verses, offering flexibility for longer or shorter liturgical moments. Although written for a very specific use, a part of the Dominican Order, rite of profession of vows known as the embrazo, during which all the others in the community offer a welcoming embrace to the newly professed brothers' it is generally suitable for any liturgy with themes of humility, discipleship, love for others, love of God for us, and unity. With a refrain based on Psalm 133 and verses based on the Pauline epistles, it is scored for SAB choir, keyboard, guitar, violin or solo instrument in C, and assembly. Of easy/medium difficulty, it is appropriate for ensembles of varying sizes and abilities.
