Song of Farewell

The ritual moment in the funeral liturgy, the Final Commendation, is one of the most beautiful and moving ritual actions, where the priest commends the deceased into the hands of the Lord. This setting by Justin Krueger is both lovely and functional. There is flexibility in the arrangement, depending on the size of the choir/ensemble. The verses are in unison and can be sung by cantor or unison choir. The accessible refrain is scored for SAB choir and congregation.
