While this piece may be sung throughout the liturgical year, it is especially suitable for Eastertide, Pentecost, and celebrations related to the sacraments of initiation. It may also be used for baptisms and funerals. To add tonal color, an instrument part in C or B-flat is provided. The text is adapted from Titus, chapters 2 and 3, the second reading on the feast of the Baptism of the Lord in Year C.
