The Lord Is My Shepherd (II)

Written with the impressionistic harmonies of Maurice Duruflé's Requiem in mind, this unique arrangement of Psalm 23 is suitable for churches looking to broaden their stylistic repertoire. The ostinato in the keyboard can be played on either organ or piano and complements the slower-moving melody in the voices. The simplistic modality of the verses provides an opportunity for choral unison or a cantor. This psalm is appropriate for services with themes of comfort, healing, hope and trust.
