This octavo features carols from three European countries: Poland, Italy, and Spain. Each one is skillfully arranged for two-part choir. Willcock brings these three carols to life with his settings, using different techniques, such as canonic imitation. Each carol is presented with its English translation, giving them more use in multicultural settings. The Polish carol includes a phonetic translation of the text to help the singers with pronunciation. This octavo would be very helpful for introducing other global traditions at Christmas.
